C. Ervin Reid

When he joined the firm as a Shareholder in July 2006, Ervin Reid brought 20 years of extensive experience in litigation management. He has dedicated his practice primarily to the defense of manufacturers of medical devices and consumer products, and corporations in workers’ compensation claims.

Ervin’s experience in the courtroom extends from defending Products Liability, Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation cases in both state and federal courts, to summary judgment issues involving Preemption, and Workers’ Compensation Bar and procedural requirements.

Ervin served as national counsel for a leading manufacturer of personal consumer products, regional trial counsel for a national pharmaceutical manufacturer and regional counsel for national workers’ compensation insurers and third-party administrators. He also serves as Corporate Counsel for National retailers in Workers’ Compensation matters and represents healthcare providers in medical malpractice and other litigation.

His litigation skills have earned him recognition as a Virginia Super Lawyer in the area of general litigation, Law & Politics, July 2006, and as one of the Best Lawyers in America in workers’ compensation defense since 2013.
