Veterans Benefit Attorney - Associate
Goodman Allen Donnelly is seeking an associate attorney to join the firm’s Veterans Benefits Group in either the Charlottesville or Norfolk, Virginia office. This attorney will represent veterans and their dependents in claims for disability and other benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs, including the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Applicants should have a strong interest in helping disabled veterans, with preference given to those with law school clinical experience, and/or a history of representing veterans. The position requires excellent writing, client communication, oral advocacy and analytical skills. Candidates must be organized and have the ability to manage a large caseload and a desire to work in a team environment.

Goodman Allen Donnelly is seeking a part-time nurse paralegal in the firm's Norfolk office to assist attorneys and other legal staff by providing medical knowledge and expertise to handle and evaluate cases. The nurse paralegal performs a variety of tasks, including preparation of medical chronologies and summaries, performing medical research, and assisting in preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
A qualified applicant will have a 4-year degree and B.S. in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, an active Nursing license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and 3-5 years' experience in a clinical and/or legal environment. The position requires attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong writing and proofreading skills, excellent oral communication skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite are also required.

Goodman Allen Donnelly has an immediate opening in our Norfolk office for an experienced legal assistant/paralegal to support our defense litigation team. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of law firm experience and should be well versed in supporting litigation practices.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook as well as have experience with client billing and time entry.
