Macayla M. Nicolaison
Macayla Nicolaison joined the firm in April 2017. Her practice focuses on legal and business counsel in the following fields: regulations surrounding the raising of capital and bringing in investors, business concept development, market development, supply chain development, licensing, business valuation, corporate law, employment law, intellectual property, non-profit law and church law. She also manages the estate planning and elder law practices in the firm's Norfolk office.
Macayla is a Virginia Beach native, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies, from Liberty University, specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. After graduating, she worked in sales and owned and managed businesses. This gave her experience in human resources, insurance, marketing, sales, financial structuring, building a corporation's assets, cash flow, and overall bottom line.
After owning and managing multiple businesses, Macayla realized that her passion is to come alongside entrepreneurs and business owners and assist them with structuring their vision. Macayla went to law school to help business owners. She received her law degree from Regent Univeristy School of Law, and joined Lentz Law Group. While with the Lentz Group, she helped clients create high value businesses while protecting and preserving all the hard work of individual business owners.
Macayla has served as and is a current adjunct faculty for Regent University's Graduate School of Communications, teaching Media Law and Ethics; Foundations of Law; Professional and Office Management; and Wills, Trusts and Probate for the Professional and Continuing Education Paralegal Studies Program at Regent University.
