Robert Harrison Gibbs, Jr. has over 20 years of experience representing physicians, behavioral health providers and other licensed providers, as well as licensed agencies and facilities with state and federal regulatory compliance, professional licensing, HIPAA, corporate documents and transactions, third-party payment audits and appeals, false claims investigations, and facility licensing and certification.
Mr. Gibbs is currently president of the Virginia State Bar’s Board of Governors for the Health Law Section, where he has also served as secretary and vice president. An active member of the Williamsburg community, he serves as president of the Bacon Street Youth and Family Services Board. He has also served as president of the board of directors for the AIDS Fund chair of the board of directors of the Williamsburg Aids Network, and on the board of Olde Town Medical and Dental Center. He has represented patients in commitment hearings, volunteered with the William & Mary Law School Legal Skills Program, participated in the Williamsburg Bar’s Legal Outreach clinics, and managed Goodman Allen’s law student extern and summer associate program.
Mr. Gibbs has long family ties to Virginia. He lives in Williamsburg with his wife, Marta, and his two children.
