Angela Boice Axselle has focused her entire career on civil litigation.  At Goodman Allen Donnelly, she has dedicated her practice to defending physicians, hospitals, nurses, and other health care providers that have been sued for medical malpractice.  She also represents health care providers in professional liability and criminal matters.  Prior to joining Goodman Allen Donnelly, Ms. Axselle was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia. In more than eight years of practice with the Attorney General's Office, Ms. Axselle gained extensive litigation experience through her investigation and prosecution of hundreds of cases under the Sexually Violent Predators Act.  She also represented the Department of Corrections in 1983 actions, grievances, capital cases, tort claims, and mandamus and habeas petitions.  Her experience extends into the areas of qui tam investigations and litigation, criminal prosecution, and claims and appeals filed under the Virginia Birth Injury Fund.  She has litigated hundreds of matters in general district and circuit courts across the Commonwealth, has tried more than 40 cases to verdict, and has argued dozens of appeals before the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Virginia.
