The firm’s 2019 holiday e-card has been selected as a finalist in Above the Law’s 11th Annual Holiday Card contest. ATL, a legal news website with over a million daily views, accepted entries from law firms around the globe, and announced the finalists on December 18. All finalists may be viewed here, and voting to decide the winner of the contest continues through midnight on January 1, 2020.
Since 1998, the firm’s holiday card has featured original artwork by one of the firm’s founding partners, Michael Goodman. Michael is a talented cartoonist – he’s been featured as an Editorial Cartoonist in the Richmond Times-Dispatch Sunday Business Section, and his work has been nationally syndicated and published throughout the legal and business communities. This year, Michael’s original artwork was brought to life with music and animation to convey the firm’s festive and fun holiday message.
Inspiration for Michael’s artwork was plentiful this year. “Almost every day was like Christmas this year with the news-makers and social media delivering one gift after another — about law, lawyers and Washington politics to name just a few. And who thought the U.S. Constitution would continue to be a perennial favorite stocking stuffer once again? Santa has more than enough to fit under your tree, but as a Quid Pro Quo, he wants extra cookies and spiked egg nog.” – Michael Goodman
