William Demarest joined Goodman Allen & Filetti in the fall of 2009, after receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond, magna cum laude. Before attending law school, Mr. Demarest worked with the Twenty-First Century Group, Inc., a bi-partisan consulting group in Washington, D.C., as an Assistant for Congressional Affairs. Mr. Demarest also participated in the Summer Associate program at Goodman Allen & Filetti during law school. He is admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and has been admitted pro hac vice in various state and federal courts around the country. Mr. Demarest focuses his practice primarily in the areas of medical malpractice defense, product liability defense and federal tort claims.
