Mr. Filetti, a founding member, practices in the Norfolk office of Goodman Allen & Filetti. He started his legal career as a judge advocate in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Navy, serving over 27 years as both an active duty and reserve officer. Mr. Filetti has more than 20 years of civil trial experience. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of Professional Liability Defense, Health Care Law, Commercial Litigation, and Transportation Law. Mr. Filetti has represented health care defendants in over 60 jury trials in federal and state courts throughout Virginia. He is a frequent lecturer to health care providers on the issues of medical legal liability and medical ethics. Mr. Filetti retired as a Captain from the Naval Reserves in 2005, where he served for 7 years as a military judge with the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Trial Judiciary.
