William (Bill) Charters’ practice as a high profile litigator with two of the largest professional liability defense firms in the Commonwealth of Virginia underscores the tremendous experience he brings to his clients at Goodman Allen Donnelly.

As an active duty Major in the United States Army from 1980-1991, Bill gained invaluable experience in health care litigation in positions he held throughout the United States, including the Pentagon, Fort Bliss and the United States Military Academy. In both Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, the focus of his practice is in the areas of Professional Liability Defense, Workers’ Compensation, Real Estate, Products Liability and Complex Litigation. Bill is a frequent lecturer to health care providers on the topics of health care and medical malpractice defense.
