Thomas Jefferson Intellectual Property Inn of Court formed in Richmond, Virginia

On October 26, 2011, the Thomas Jefferson Intellectual Property American Inn of Court had its inaugural meeting at the University of Richmond School of Law.  This Inn of Court is comprised of distinguished attorneys and judges, as well as some students and professors of law, from across Virginia who all share a common goal of fostering excellence in Professionalism, Ethics, Civility, and Legal Skills centered on the complex fields of Intellectual Property law.  The Thomas Jefferson Intellectual Property American Inn of Court is proud to become a member of the Linn Inn Alliance, a collection of American Inns of Court all focused on issues related to Intellectual Property Law.  The Linn Inn Alliance was created through much assistance by the Honorable Richard Linn, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

American Inns of Court LogoThe American Inns of Court  are a coalition of individual inns seeking to help lawyers and judges rise to higher levels of excellence, professionalism, and ethical awareness.  The American Inns of Court have adopted a variation on the English model of legal apprenticeship and mentoring, allowing young lawyers, experienced attorneys, and distinguished judges the opportunity to interact and learn from one another in a collegial atmosphere.

Two Goodman Allen & Filetti intellectual property attorneys, Charles M. Allen and Matthew T. Kitces, have been asked to join the Thomas Jefferson Intellectual Property American Inn of Court as founding members.
