Ms. McCauley concentrates her practice in medical malpractice defense, hospital and medical school representation, representation before the Commonwealth of Virginia's health regulatory boards, general health care counseling and employment matters. She has authored and is a national speaker on the legal issues surrounding Bariatric Surgery and is a frequent lecturer to health care providers and administrators in the areas of risk management, malpractice litigation, medical ethics, informed decision-making, patient competency and discharge planning. Ms. McCauley is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond, where she teaches Trial and Appellate Lawyering Skills as well as Bioethics. Ms. McCauley has co-authored publications for Virginia Continuing Legal Education and the University of Richmond Law Review.
