Community Involvement

The attorneys and staff of Goodman Allen & Filetti share a deep commitment to the law, but their individual passions extend far beyond.  Their contributions to the communities in which they live and work are extensive. They volunteer hundreds of hours of their time and talents as invaluable leaders and indispensable hands for civic, educational, charitable, legal and social service organizations making their communities a better place to live. Whether its building houses for the homeless, reading to school children, coaching soccer, collecting food for the food bank, carving out time for our families or presiding over a professional organization, we take pride in their commitment to community.

As a  firm, we spend numerous hours handling traditional pro bono cases for indigents, children, elderly and non-profit organizations in conjunction with many organizations.

Blue Jeans Friday for Food Bank Donations

Goodman Allen & Filetti has a longstanding commitment to support the each of the local Food Banks the service our  Virginia communities through a financial contribution as a thank you to our families, friends and clients each year during the Holidays.

In addition, every year, our firm participates in the “Legal Food Frenzy” sponsored by the Food Banks which pits law firm against law firm to raise the most food. Susan Kimble, an Associate at Goodman Allen & Filetti has taken on this responsibility each year and has come up with some very fun and creative ways to encourage donations over a 2 week period. Most popular has become Blue Jeans Fridays since GAF has a dress code that does not permit wearing blue jeans. By hitting our donations goals, the firm is rewarded with that special privilege of wearing Blue Jeans to work! The firm throws in pizza for everyone and a tradition was born!
